Professor David J. Teece Conferred Doctorate Honoris Causa, Delivers Commemorative Lecture and Symposium

Keio University of Japan conferred a degree of Doctor of Business and Commerce, honoris causa, on Dr. David J. Teece on April 25.

Keio University conferred the degree in recognition of Dr. Teece's achievements and contributions to the advancement of management studies, strategic management, and corporate theory. Most notably, he was the pioneering architect behind the dynamic capabilities framework, the latest view in the field of strategic management.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Teece led a commemorative lecture and symposium based on the theme of "Dynamic Capabilities and Strategic Management."
