“We Could Be Heroes”: Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities
The Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities at the University of Canterbury will host its inaugural exhibition, We Could Be Heroes: The Gods and Heroes of the Ancient Greeks and Romans, on Thursday, May 18.
The exhibition celebrates the stories of the gods and heroes of the classical world. Many beautiful, rare, and valuable artifacts will be on display in this first significant exhibition of the James Logie Memorial Collection after the devastating Canterbury earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. The exhibition also marks the return of the University of Canterbury to its first home in the Christchurch Arts Centre, the original site of Canterbury college.
